Heavy, silver-colored metal plaque has raised lettering: "To Warren Gamaliel Harding and his wife Florence Kling Harding from the Citizens of Marion in testimony of affection and of gratitude for loyal friendship, devotion to the public welfare, and service to the highest conception of American Citizenship. God's Blessing to you. Marion, Ohio, March 2nd, 1921." There is an eagle at the top edge of the plaque.
